The word for vegan in Hindi is Sakahari.  Many Indians abstain from meat and other animal products, and their vegan lifestyle is praised for its moral implications and environmental benefits.  Going vegan has never been a trendier or more viable dietary option than it is today, and you don’t have to settle for raw salad, dry bread and greasy potatoes to stick to its guidelines.  Many delicious Indian dishes are vegan-friendly and available from your local Indian takeaway.  Here are some reasons why you’ll never look back once you add a little Indian spice to your life!
