Healthy Baked Arabic Falafels Recipe


Complex carbs, inexpensive ingredients and very easy to make! Packed full of flavour and goes well with most things so give them a try!
  • 1 can chickpeas roughly 240g
  • 120g or one onion
  • 40g wholemeal flour
  • large handful of parsley
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • small handful of coriander
  • half tablespoon cumin
  • salt and pepper
  • half a tsp of baking powder
  • half a lemon, juiced
  • paprika


  1. preheat oven to 200c or 400f
  2. put everything together in a food processor and blend till well processed
  3. place as 12 or so balls on a sprayed baking tray and bake 15 mins per side (30 mins in total) optional grill for last few mins
per 3 balls/quarter batch:
  • Calories: 87kcal
  • Protein: 4.2g
  • Carbs: 16.9g
  • Fats: 1.1g
  • Fiber: 2g
